ACN rents THE BEST repair kits we have found. Choose your size/application. Order the tool AND the inserts you need! Except for the Spark Plug kit, all other Time-Sert kits do NOT include the tap handles which are required to use the tool.
Basically, this kit threads your stripped hole to a larger size. Then, the steel insert is threaded into the hole. The installation tool EXPANDS the lower part of the insert, locking it into place! NO LOCTITE is needed, and it won't come back out like "other" thread repairs! :-) It's an expensive kit, so please treat it like it's your own (it is in theory). Instructions on how to use it are sent after your order is received. Trust us, this IS a nice tool and will fix your stripped threads to a stronger than new condition! Rental period is 21 days from date of shipment (so your actual length of possession of the tool partially depends on the shipping method that you select!) Orders for Tool Rentals must be paid for by credit card. Rental Tool Core Charge is the full tool cost ($450 for the 11 x 1.5mm kit, and $100 for all others). If you damage, lose or we otherwise do not receive the rental tool back per our rental tool policy. Please place the tool pieces back into the kit with the provided protective materials, and be sure you are returning the tool back to us IN THE SAME GOOD CONDITION YOU RECEIVED IT IN. YOU are responsible for returning the tool to us (insured delivery) within the rental time period. Your card will be charged for the whole kit (the tool core deposit), and then refunded for the kit minus the rental period fee(s) and any damaged components (if applicable) when it's returned.
